Los Gatos Mountains

A historical past with its famous Redwood Trees, old logging truck roads, and some absolutely beautiful and unique train tunnels.

Welcome to Los Gatos Mountains

Los Gatos Mountains enjoys a historical past with its famous Redwood Trees, old logging truck roads, and some absolutely beautiful and unique train tunnels. Los Gatos mountain area homes are very desirable, primarily because of the location and access to Silicon Valley and the Greater San Jose Metropolis of shopping, restaurants, and services coupled with trees, nature, Redwood Trees, and peaceful living. Pretty darn close to Santa Cruz Beaches too.

John Steinbeck once wrote in a letter to a friend that his Los Gatos Mountains ranch was “so beautiful that often I am embarrassed to be living here.” Many Los Gatos Mountains residents feel that way even today, as this Santa Clara County (and Santa Cruz County) location remains beautiful and is one of the area’s most prestigious addresses with many lovely homes from majestic estates to quiet hideaways or farms and ranches.

Located beginning at the edge of the town of Los Gatos, this region stretches across both sides of “the hill” as locals call it both Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties. The area includes the hillsides over Almaden, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and Cupertino.

The zip code is 95033, generally, though there are parts of 95032, 95070, 95120,  and others which are also part of the Los Gatos Mountains community.
